May 9, 2002 Dear Editor: Best views downtown will be from the intersectionOur Olympia City Council is holding a public hearing on May 21 to discuss major changes in zoning on the Olympia waterfront. When you wade into the facts you are told there will be "view corridors" which will protectthe beautiful vision and scenery of our current waterfront environment. Well, then, what is a view corridor according to this planning? It is the intersection. I guess if the zoning is allowed to change, we will have to stop our cars in the middle ofthe intersections down by waterfront to view what once was a free and spectacular sighteveryone could enjoy.
