An article on more high rises on the isthmus begs comment. They would be a disaster in that location, destroying the priceless view to the north from the Capitol Campus, Capitol Lake and Heritage Park.
I favor the city's desire for market rate housing downtown. There are a number of excellent sites on and east of Columbia Street that would not compromise the view over the isthmus.

Attend the Olympia Planning Commission rezone hearing — Tuesday, June 24, 6:30 p.m.; The Olympia Center (downtown, next to Percival Landing). Sign in as opposed to the rezone proposal and, if you're comfortable doing so, testify.
